Is there any way that I can get this fixed under the Mazda rust warranty at a dealership? I'm guessing they'll say it is 'surface corrosion'? The door rust is absolutely inexcusable on a car 4 years old. I suppose the bottom rust on the body could be from rockchips, but thats a pretty poor paint quality if thats the case.
I thought Mazda had addressed the rust issues with the 2nd Gen 3 (I had a 2005 GT previously that was a rust bucket) but it looks like they havent. But then I noticed this today when I went to wash my car after a rainstorm that I hadn't seen before now :( The body looked in pretty good shape at the time rust wise aside from a couple rock chips on the hood and doors. I recently bought a 2010 GS used from a Volkswagen stealership in May (it was a trade in), with 101,000Km on it.
